Description:

Antas demonstrates a prostrate to semi-erect growth habit and persists well on various soil types. It has mid to late season maturity and is suited to medium to high rainfall environments, with a growing season of 7 months. Antas has been developed as a superior replacement to Clare with improved hard seed levels and excellent forage production.

These attributes combine to make Antas suited to either permanent pasture or medium term cropping rotations. Antas will also provide the benefits of soil nitrogen fixation as well as providing an effective disease break.

Seed Coatings / Innoculation:

In todays market, most clovers are sold pre-inoculated and coated.  There are diffrent types of coatings as well as diffrent percentages of coating utilized.   In order for companies to provide pre-inuculated seed, the seed is encapsulated in a clay, talc or other material to protect the inoculum. This process does add inert matter to the seed. Some companies utilize a 32%-34% coating, However many companies have began to utilze 50% coating to cheepen thiere products.

It is important for producer's to ask what percentage coating is on the seed, before they make thier purchace.   The higher % of inert mater/coating the cheaper the seed per pound, but the higher the planting rate as well as cost per acre.

Our Prodcuts are pre-inoclatued and coated with a 32-34% coating "NOT" 50% as other companies.
